The Time of Testing Is Here

By Richard C. Cook

While skeptics mockingly point out that the “end of the world” has been prophesized over and over again for centuries with nothing happening—the latest being Y2K, they say, and another likely bust coming up when the calendar hits 2012—it’s obvious that mankind faces an increasingly unsustainable future.

The world’s economic, technological, agricultural, and political systems are breaking down. While the causes are debated, it’s certain that the human assault on the natural world has wiped out vast numbers of species and polluted the land, the air, and the oceans. After the past 100 years of history, with two world wars and low-grade but vicious warfare going on almost continuously somewhere in the world since World War II ended, it seems impossible for human beings to live together in a state of harmony either among ourselves or with the planet we call home.

Are we at “the end of the age?”

In social life, the overriding characteristic of our era is the increasing division in the world between haves and have-nots, masters and slaves, controllers and controlled, rich and poor. The power of the wealthiest class of people has never been so great. The weapons of mass destruction they–and the armed forces who work for them–monopolize have the force to destroy the earth many times over.

Teachings of peace, tolerance, charity, which have always received lip service, lack efficacy. Such teachings increasingly count for nothing. Organized religion, done in by its own transgressions and lack of transformative potency, rarely even attempts to make a stand for justice or persuade nations to forego war.

The people at the very top of the heap have been those Western financial magnates, especially from the Anglo-American-Zionist empire and the European Union, who control banking, industry, investment, and credit. The world is run by an international financial elite and their subordinates in government, corporations, academia, the military, and the media. This elite have plunged billions of people and the nations they inhabit into astronomical levels of debt. They are the controllers who live off the fat of the land, skimming the cream of science and industry through usury on money they create out of thin air through financial monopolies granted or at least tolerated by the politicians whose strings they pull. No longer leaders of the popular will, the political classes of all Western nations, most particularly the United States, are servants of private financial and corporate interests.

The controllers realize how tenuous stability has become. So they seem to have embarked on a worldwide consolidation of power, using every tool available from the fields of electronic surveillance and social engineering to enhance their dominance. Nations not entirely under their control, such as Russia and China, are tagged as adversaries and surrounded with military bases. The controllers are suspected of having vowed among themselves that the existing world population of almost seven billion human beings cannot be allowed to continue. A large portion of the human herd must be culled, an action that now appears to be underway with the world’s resources increasingly passing into the hands of centralized financial interests.

But this will not necessarily fend off the even larger disaster that threatens mankind. For the controllers themselves also inhabit the earth. No man is an island. What threatens the least of God’s creatures threatens them as well.

The perspective of the controllers is therefore incomplete. What it leaves out are human freedom, aspiration, and spirituality. It also leaves out nature and nature’s laws. Further, it leaves out God, whatever we mean by that word, still knowing that there is “something” or “someone” who is the ultimate creative force. Perhaps these most materialistic elements of humanity are not quite as sharp as they think they are in trying to erect a fortress against the universe in order to save themselves.

For instance, they have not yet found a way to negate the law of cause and effect: “As ye sow, so shall ye reap.” An example is the BP oil catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico caused by negligence in addressing pre-existent problems in a manner reminiscent of the space shuttle Challenger disaster of 1986. Both events exposed the pride of man as mere dust. Disasters may also be lying in wait due to genetically-modified seeds laced with pesticides where crop failures or the appearance of super-resistant insects could lead to mass starvation.

The controllers desire to rule from their glitzy world capitals of glass and steel while maintaining “safe” suburban, rural, or island palaces and retreats. Many, though not all, are the physical or spiritual descendents of those who rejected God by rejecting Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago, though according to some traditions their genealogy may be much older. Though the Christian churches offer many confusing and contradictory interpretations, it was Jesus Christ who prophesized the end of the age and sought to prepare mankind for it. Christianity is first and foremost an eschatological religion, especially as it hearkens back to such Old Testament prophets as Isaiah.

But in recognizing that the size of the human population is an overriding issue, shouldn’t we ask why are so many people alive on earth at this time? Where have they come from? Is it simply a result of improved sanitation, more productive farming methods, or the reduction in infant mortality? Or is there a hidden cause? The planet today resembles a train station at rush hour. Perhaps for the sake of discussion we should look at it from a somewhat mystical perspective. Should we consider, for instance, that the huge increase in the world’s population has taken place because all the human souls from the last several thousand years of history have been allowed to incarnate in order to give them one final chance to develop spiritually and move on to higher planes of being?

It could also be that a side-effect of the large earth population has been the emergence of the critical mass of information that has led in turn to exponential growth in science, technology, and economic productivity, the latest phase being the cybernetic revolution. Has man, in his vanity, attributed this apparent progress to his own stellar qualities, while failing to guard against the temptations deriving therefrom and their potential for binding him to the material plane? Perhaps man has surrendered his soul through a Faustian bargain based ultimately on the illusion which science promotes of someday attaining physical, as opposed to spiritual, immortality. In his delusion, man has viewed the earth as his true home rather than a place to reside temporarily for learning, experience, and eventual transcendence. The great parable of modern man may have been Goethe’s Faust, published in 1808 and prefiguring the spiritual crisis of the modern age.

We should note well the fact that due to social and political upheaval, combined with modern methods of communication, every person alive has been exposed to teachings of spiritual evolution, not just from Christianity, but from other religions such as Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism, as well as spiritual teachings such as yoga that cross religious lines. All have taught that our true home is in the spiritual realms, not in the rounds of earthly life and death. (Judaism is excluded from this list, as there are so many different Jewish sects, including so-called “secular Judaism,” that it is difficult to isolate a specific teaching on spiritual development.)

Why else have we seen in the past century so many enlightened teachings coming from all parts of the world, existing side-by-side with organized political, financial, and military horror? Doesn’t it seem that each and every soul on the planet is being tested? As indicated above, perhaps each of us is being given one last opportunity to attain enlightenment before the curtain comes down and the theater is closed for the season. This may be one way to look at the concept of the “end times.”

So what are we waiting for? Shouldn’t we be coming together to work in every way possible for the furtherance of truth and the enhancement of being? Shouldn’t we be creating centers of light to prepare ourselves and each other whatever lies ahead? Indeed, some are. But are we doing enough?

Time appears to be running out, with dire changes having already begun. Who knows, maybe there is only a year or two remaining of relative freedom of movement before the controllers reveal their deep affinity with the dark side by setting up what seems to be their planned world dictatorship, world government, and world currency. They have learned how to manufacture crises and disasters, such as 9/11, as a means of seizing more power. The signs that they are springing the trap will be the increased bureaucratization of all aspects of life, wartime measures like rationing and transportation checkpoints, centralization of financial institutions, control of populations through un- and under-employment, elimination of freedom of speech on the internet, and continued growth of computerized systems containing personal identifying information. As has happened before, the majority of people will likely be so sick of the rising tide of chaos the controllers have helped engineer they will willingly trade their autonomy for the shackles of totalitarian order.

To accomplish their ends, won’t the controllers also try to stamp out the last vestiges of spirituality on earth? They have already attacked many spiritual teachers and movements since the epochal change of consciousness that emerged in the 1960s. The rebellious flower children were seduced by dangerous drugs developed and distributed by covert operatives. Other examples were the engineered reaction within the Catholic Church against Vatican II and the liberation theology movement, as well as the takeover of Protestant Christianity by Zionists among the Evangelicals. A friend points out that militant Zionists also took over and subverted the Reform movement within Judaism. And it has been the Western intelligence agencies, going back over a century, who helped create radical Islam in order to declare the Middle East a base of “terrorism” so that war against the Islamic world could be rationalized and their oil resources seized.

The controllers engineered these and other reactions because the only way they can rule is to eliminate the naturally-occurring hope of free individuals for a higher level of consciousness and a more humane world. Other methods include mind control through TV programming and the continued dumbing-down of the population through an educational system now based entirely on learning by rote and government-mandated standardized tests. As 1984 and Brave New World showed to previous generations and the cynical manipulation of political reporting by Murdoch-owned Fox News indicates today, the masses are easy to control. Fox News is doing it by co-opting the Tea Party movement and goading it into a phony rebellion that ignores the real issues of elite control. All these elements hide the fact that it is the controllers who are the real terrorists in the world today.

Now embedded microchips, along with automated administration of pharmaceuticals to individuals by nanotechnology, appear to be on the way. The first step toward the microchip in the U.S. could be the national ID card as proposed by U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) in connection with immigration reform. According to published reports, the card Schumer proposes would contain a person’s social security number, along with biometric data such as retinal scans and fingerprints. Such a card could easily be expanded to include credit and criminal history, DNA sequences, and medical history, all linked to a central database.

As cited in Politico, Sen. Schumer has stated his belief that “Hashem”–Hebrew for “the Name”–has appointed him the guardian of the state of Israel within the U.S. Senate. He has also spoken of himself as a potential presidential candidate. As events move forward, particularly with politicians like Schumer on the rise, many seemingly innocent people will be faced with difficult decisions of whether, and how far, to “get along by going along.”

But whoever accepts the chip, it is said, will wear the “mark of the beast”—by choice, because the conscience within will have cried out against it. The post-World War II Nuremburg trials established that no one is innocent because they were simply following orders, a ruling that should apply to victims as well as perpetrators. Of course “the chip” can take many forms, making self-deception and rationalization easy.

Yet God is not mocked. Every human being on the planet has a God-given conscience which allows us to distinguish between right and wrong–if we listen to our conscience. Some say we have an individual guardian angel who is the guide to our conscience. How many of us seek the counsel of this guide?

And is the time also at hand that the “earth changes” which have been prophesied will manifest on an increasingly vast scale? How will the planet cleanse itself? It has been prophesied, for instance, by Edgar Cayce and others that as part of this cleansing, New York and Connecticut will one day be under water. Such predictions seem less preposterous today than 60 years ago, now that scientists are discussing the increased potential for extreme climatic events through alterations in the earth’s magnetic field or in connection with earth temperature changes.

Without a doubt, the time must also come when the United States will no longer exist in anything resembling its present form. How can a nation as heedless, violent, prurient, complacent, and materialistic as this one possibly continue on its present course when the earth is purged of falsehood? How can objective justice tolerate a nation that sadistically tortures prisoners of war and routinely kills civilians with unmanned drone strikes halfway around the world?

G.I. Gurdjieff was a spiritual master from the Caucasus who studied in the most remote parts of Asia and spent his mature years teaching pupils in France. In the 1920s he visited the U.S., spending most of his time in New York. He reportedly said, “America will rot before it ripens.” The causes, he intimated, would be America’s obsession with “dollar business,” its diet of processed foods, and its dissipated lifestyle.

Gurdjieff was right. Regarding “dollar business,” today’s “Big Six”–J.P. Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley–are the most rotten and corrupt institutions on the globe. They have sold America down the river by creating and destroying gigantic investment bubbles, feasting on massive bailouts paid for by taxpayers, and spending the last two generations shipping workers’ jobs to low-paying foreign labor markets. Then they turn around and use America and its passive population as the world’s policeman to protect their investments.

Just as bad are international institutions like the International Monetary Fund, the Bank of International Settlements, and the European Central Bank, as well as national central banks like the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, the Deutsche Bundesbank, etc. While Hitler allegedly killed millions, the world’s bankers make life or death decisions that affect billions. They do it through control of the money spigot, which gives them power over every business and industry in the world that utilizes any form of credit. And credit is as essential to most businesses as breathing is to a human being.

When the dust settles, will there still be communities of human survivors in America? That may depend on the Americans themselves and how successful they are at reclaiming their freedom. Whatever survivors there are may be spiritually-minded and will of necessity live close to nature. But the scale and appearance of any future civilization is an unknown. Europe’s future could be as tenuous. Maybe Russia, China, and selected locations in Latin America, Asia, or Africa will do better. We don’t yet know.

What we should know is that the time is up for humanity. We have had our chance to decide what we value, whether service to a false conception of a separate self or service to God and neighbor. Now we are likely to find out for certain what measure of truth we have imbibed and incorporated into our being during many lifetimes.

The testing has come, but it has been foreseen for a long time. The Master came two millennia ago and showed the way. Why do we think someone else is coming now to save us? We were given the tools and the time to learn how to use them. Now we have no more excuses.

Rather than promote war, conflict, and conquest, anyone with a genuine spiritual sense will do everything possible to encourage peace, justice, and harmony among peoples and nations. Nevertheless, the “end of the age” seems imminent. As the Shivapuri Baba said, as recorded in the book Long Pilgrimage by John Bennett (Dawn Horse Press, 1983), “We are at the end of a 6,000 year cycle.”

We should strive not to be confused or complacent. It is time now for individuals to make a decision on where they want to be for the challenges ahead, with whom they want to spend their time, and exactly how they intend to devote their energy and commitment. The best advice is to choose wisely and choose well but not to wait any longer.

Jesus said: “Ye know not the day or the hour.” So why do we wake up every morning still thinking we know what the day will bring? In fact we do not know. The processes we are looking at herein could take a day, a year, or a century. So what is to be done? Following are some suggestions:

  • Find a teacher or group that can guide you to spiritual enlightenment and where you can help others do the same.
  • Teach yourself to act considerately to all those around you, including people you consider “evil.”
  • Start viewing the natural world as alive and conscious, not an inert mass of dead matter.
  • Get out of debt, get off the grid, and learn to live with only what you really need of a material nature.
  • Learn to love work and do that work with reverence and gratitude.
  • Stop watching TV; instead watch your health and diet.
  • Develop your mental, emotional, and manual skills.
  • Be honest with yourself and others.
  • Refuse the “chip,” no matter what.
  • Never stop learning.
  • Grow food.
  • Laugh a lot.
  • Be at peace.
  • Be happy.

  1. Wow!

Once again, you have asked some of the same questions that I have pondered before. Also, you express some the same conclusions I have come to, through my own journey.

When the Time comes, I believe that we will reveal ourselves by our honest reactions. The Earth will shake and shiver to the point that it will ring like a bell. We will be divided by whether we look down to watch the Earth crumbling beneath our feet, or we look up to see the door to Heaven opening.

    Best regards.

  2. Dear Richard,

I love your articles as always. However, I question the meaning behind the statement about the engineered reaction against Vatican II and liberation theology. All Vatican II accomplished was the autodemolition of the Catholic Faith. It destroyed the Mass of the Ages and worked to make the Church conform to the new world. The Jews have wanted the Society of St. Pius X to accept the changes of the 2nd Vatican council. This statement in itself shows the 2nd Vatican council to be a product of enemies of God and man.

  3. Richard,
    Thanks for that wake-up call.
I agree that the time is short for us to act.

The longstanding process of centralizing power and wealth is reaching its climax.

Sharing and cooperation will be the watch words as we courageously move forward to reduce our dependencies upon the corporate “Beast,” and work to create heaven on earth.

  4. So good, I read it twice!

Every article, poem, conversation is an expression of the Zeitgeist. But this one captures so much of the contradictory nature of the Spirit of these Times–the hopes and sense of hopelessness, burgeoning awareness struggling against dullness, the “controllers” world of mass manipulation, materialism and brutality counterposed to a groundswell of new forms of cooperative living–this one captures so much it’s a kind of Native American “spirit-net”; in the word of my teenage nephew–”awesome.”

It would be “necessary and sufficient” to simply “capture,” but Cook is going beyond that, too. How to deal with this state of affairs–what concrete actions can we take now to avert personal and community disasters? Towards the end of this engrossing article, there’s a list; no doubt it will be added to, developed and refined over the months and years to come. It will be fascinating to watch the list evolve and grow from these seeds to a bamboo grove that can weather the coming storms.

And, of course, Cook is challenging every cognizant being to make his/her own list, to proactively confront these transformational times, to share their lists with others. One is reminded again that times of great danger are also times of great opportunity.

  5. While staying overseas I’ve met a medium who has received from Jesus Christ the description of the global transformation that is going to happen BEFORE 2012 when we’ll enter into the new age of enlightenment affecting not just the solar system but a large part of the universe, too. Those who will make into the new world will find themselves on a planet vastly different from present earth conditions. Jesus said that everybody has the opportunity to join but many who are taking advantage of others and the planet are still not ready and will be transferred (after they die during the transformation process) to planets where they can continue their learning of being a human. You’ve amply referred to who those people who will likely find themselves in this group. Her book should be translated to English so people in this country would also have the information about the upcoming global changes.

  7. Richard,

Your words resonate within me! Thank you for your clear, succinct, and powerful expression of “the time of testing”.

I hold the belief that our individual “times of testing” reside in our every moment of waking consciousness. Nonetheless, some periods, such as the one looming on our collective event-horizon, bring a more intense, much more frequent testing than do others. The times at hand behoove us to prepare, spiritually above all, then with care to mind and body and love to neighbor, who is our Self.

    Blessings,

  8. Richard:

A fabulous article which combines many keen insights, raises important questions and offers valuable advice. You never cease to amaze me with your broad perspective and analysis.

My spiritual focus derives from my devotion to the great life force made manifest in the natural world. Permaculture teaches us to study life and become a partner in the continuous unfolding of creation here on earth. As a good steward of nature, and for as long as I am able to be a part of that creation, I will never abandon my dedication to the natural order and its inherent freedom which makes all life possible. My reward shall be the joy of being part of something good.

The artificial collective power structure cannot endure. Survival is fundamental and shall be the blessing of those who humbly accept the role of steward to nature while courageously defending freedom with all possible means.

In my view human culture is now experiencing an economic transformation which will ultimately deprive “the collective” of its source of power- that being it’s ability to steal the labor of the people. Never before in history have the people been offered such a great opportunity to acquire knowledge and capture the “means of production”.

People are going off the grid in large numbers and they are learning how to power their vehicles with renewable fuels such as alcohol and solar-charged batteries. And we are reading on the internet about the fantastic discoveries such as zero-point energy which may soon give individuals the tools to protect and project themselves as formidable opponents of the new world order.

Natural wisdom together with the lessons of the past and technology of the future can and will soon provide the basis for a revolutionary “direct production” technology in the service of freedom. The advance in cybernetics as mentioned in your article shall be the medium by which the new paradigm is propagated to all corners of the globe.

Fundamental in the new paradigm shall be a much improved idea about how small communities, counties and states can and must assert control of their local and regional economies by creating debt-free money in support of prosperity. Because of writers like yourself, the tyranny of central banking is being exposed for the world to see.

Beyond the monetary control, the survival of freedom demands that local economies plan for and achieve much greater self-sufficiency. Any group which hopes to protect itself must develop and retain the capacity to grow it’s own food and acquire the means for protecting its people and resources. The fraud of free trade and global interdependence must be exposed as a tool of the Jewish Zionist bankers who are enslaving the world and killing off humanity. They must be stopped.

Yes our bodies shall ultimately fail and perhaps only then shall we learn more about Goethe’s spiritual crisis. In the meantime, I choose to do the work of a natural man, speaking my truth, working for a better world, and opposing evil with all my strength.

  9. It is only peace within that can conquer where peace is without.

To try and conquer that external which is not one within, is to be having to learn the lessons of Judas Iscariot, a devoted disciple of the master of masters, over & over. This is a lesson generally not comprehended by the left/right or any other political artifice.

The master of masters opened the door on our behalf to show us that it is there and we can walk towards it. And it is the master of masters who will be sent again this time to hold it open for us. But that will be a different reality on earth.

So only conquer that which all ready knows peace, or know Judas Iscariot all over again.

Much like the ‘National Dividend’ balancing of C H Douglas, as written about by Rick Cook. It conquers external wars by conquering their internal wars without the fundamental nature of things being deemed less or more evil than our current divisions. Oneness is resolved in spirit first, only try and dissolve that which one has the essence of or one is tempted where the master of masters was not.

    Well that’s what i think!

  10. Good job there, Sir!

I believe that honest money, not fractional-reserve, leveraged, debt-based money controlled by a few, can act as a leaven of integrity throughout society, so my efforts are concentrated on helping people see the corruption wrought by our present monetary system.

I believe that honest money has a spiritual dimension and is a promoter of justice. Regarding the present day monetary system, I can only say: “Let justice prevail, though the heavens fall.”

Everything else is just icing on the cake,or is some one or some organizations unilateral attempt to deceive and control others.
The Left, the Right.Christian,Muslim. Capitalist,Communist. All just seek to suck the life out of us all for the gain of the few who’s greed and hunger for power knows no bounds. They are all willing to throw the lives of us peasants into the meat grinder to enrich themselves and their EVIL buddies. They believe in nothing that enriches the lives of anyone but themselves.
In the past they were “Royalty” or “Priests” or “Experts” or whatever “Name” people trusted.Don’t trust any of them! Trust only those who will tear their last piece of bread in half and share it with another, and will share their blanket with you when it is cold. The rest are just their to convince you that by giving them your last piece of bread, your only blanket, your last drop of blood, and ultimately your soul to them for”a better day tomorrow.” or “In the afterlife.”
Make someones life better today and we have a better world. Make some snake oil salesman’s life better today, and all you end up with is nothing if you are lucky or sick or dead if you are not.

  13. You forget God owns this planet and the universe. I didn’t read your entire article, only the first paragraph. Once the slime (and those who follow them) who ruin our lives and destroy everything good, kind and decent are dead, the rest of us will pick up and carry on as usual, WITH GOD’s HELP. The problem most people, including myself, seem to have is a spirit of self-sufficiency, pride and arrogance. I was almost amused by the highbrow tone of some of the responses, which are essentially mindless gibberish. You either have faith in God or you don’t, and it doesn’t take 20 paragraphs to say so. Kick people in the butt mentally. Stand up for what you know is right and DO IT. It’s probably too late for voting them out, civil/race war is coming, so you’d better be prepared to defend and feed yourselves. Concentration camps are real, I saw the concrete walls with black iron bars rolling down the highway 4 years ago on a flatbed truck uncovered. Christian persecution is coming here–torture and death for believers. Can you stand up and defend Christ? I hope so, and I hope I will too.

  14. The whole idea of God giving people one final chance before judgment is just nonsense.

Man is not on probation and God is not “judging” him. Man is what he is and assuming God made him, he is as God wants him to be. God is not frustrated or angry if he is omnipotent and omniscient. Man does not have to do anything to please or earn God’s favor. This teaching is for the benefit of a Priesthood that seeks power. God, whatever he/she/it is is available to all of us to the degree he is available. No more no less.

  16. They are indeed trying to “erect a wall against the universe” and that is why they will find no refuge anywhere physical.
We are indeed being invited back to the origin, to one-dimensionality.The Father is re-collecting this universe.
Humanity will soon face the choice between a virtual reality, where all physical, emotional and mental needs will be provided for and a natural but more spiritual reality.
One of our tasks is to ensure that people will have that choice.
The first alternative will erase and forbid the idea of spirit and of God.
The Universe is moving very fast and they made too many mistakes and they are too divided.
Some of them, more wise or prudent and sensing the new diection, are already switching alliances and opting for consciousness.
For indeed an amnesty has been declared for all past.

  19. I just wanted to give a little of my own personal philosophy on life to you Richard regarding we spirits learning in this life. Matthew 6:26 Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns: and your heavenly Father feedeth them. ARE NOT YOU OF MUCH MORE VALUE THAN THEY? Jesus did not say does God not love much more than they. No, he said, “are not you of much more value than they. There is a difference between love and value. Was he speaking to our spirits here? Or was he speaking to our physical-biological forms? I believe he was speaking to our physical-biological forms. It is like a woman who loves the many things in her kitchen; but some are more valuable to her than others. I don’t believe that we spirits are put into these physical-biological forms to learn anythin. I believe that we are joined with our physical-biological forms in order to give these forms life. Otherwise, we are just dead meat. We have to have this spiritual life in order to give our physical-biological forms a will to keep our forms in good order. I believe that animals that have a will also have a spirit attached to them. My view is that God made this physical-biological universe for a purpose, but I don’t believe that it was to teach us spirits anything. When God created us, he probably gave us all the intelligence we needed. I do not pretend to know God’s plans. But I think that he might have ceated this physical-biological universe as a kind of alternate existence. And he intended it to grow. And he put the human form as the highest form to do the work necessary to build this universe up. I personally believe all spirits are the same. I don’t believe there is any difference between the spirits who are attached to any animal form and those attached to the human form for the reason I stated above regarding our value to God. The spirits of all can only accomplish what the physical form which they have been encapsulated in has been created to accomplish. If I may go further, I believe that although God is very concerned about our individual lives, I believe that he is far more concerned about the preservation of human civilization upon our small planet. Hence, the primary goal of Christianity and specifically the Catholic Church in this world. I do hope that no Catholic Priest becomes angry at me for saying this as I do not preach this from the housetops to anyone else. Well, this is what I think. Thank you.

  20. Well said! What you sense on a spiritual level has emerged in a cohesive, articulate statement. We are curious… how much deliberation did it take for you to muster the courage to step so far out on that limb? There are indeed many of us who have chosen to incarnate on this planet one last time to “assist” in the changes that are coming. The “problem” as we see it is that many of the predictions about the “so-called” last days or end times are categorically wrong. Many of us have been “awake” now for decades. There are two things you may be absolutely sure of. 1. We will live to see it because we came here in part to bring it about. 2. This planet will not be allowed to perish. Be well, Richard. Peace. 21. Find a teacher or group that can guide you to spiritual enlightenment and where you can help others do the same.

Jesus Christ and HIM ALONE is the only way to heaven, not the pope, not Babylon, not Islam etc. I see many, many references to new age people who are of a false religion and are unsaved and do not believe the gospel.

The answer is simple, faith in Him ALONE or burn for eternity

  22. Too much mixing of spiritualism with Christianity. Richard Cook sounds like a humanist in disguise. Maybe he’s even unaware of this fact. Here’s some items I gleaned:

“Spirit masters, earth consciousness, spiritual guides, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism, as well as spiritual teachings such as yoga”

Then he ends with a quote from Jesus.

Articles such as these are offensive to many in the truth movement. You cannot lump beliefs together like this. Sure, those who are not Christian or Islamic might think it’s fine, but ask a Muslim if it’s okay to mix Islam with Christianity. Ask him is he thinks their all the same, leading all to the same place.

I am a Christian, and unapologetically so. It is repulsive to insinuate that Christianity is just another attempt of Man to find his spiritual path. Y’all can hurl your bile at my comment, but it doesn’t change the fact that Christianity stands opposite of all this “new age” spiritual stuff. “New Age” is certainly not new! It’s older than Christianity! It’s as old as Genesis, as old as Eden, it is the devil’s game. Play it at you own risk. Because it is also the religion of the very people Richard Cook assumes to oppose.

  27. Neither liberal nor conservative persuasions teach the text as a history beyond reckonings pieced together from fragments found in the dirt. The past does not need to be shrouded in mystery if the text has an established frame of time.

The beginning is within pages and prayers of nearly 6,000 years of believing that God walking with us was never meant to be a legend. No religion, philosophy, or tradition, neither right nor reason, removes this good news from any generation.

Back in those elementary lessons and all the way into the adult realm, it all begins with Genesis 1, 2, & 3, and then the tale of brotherly love with Cain & Abel, then there’s Noah and the Flood, then maybe Babel wouldn’t get skipped, then on to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then Moses and the Exodus, then the Judges, then Saul, David, & Solomon, then the kingdom splits and begins tediously long sections of too many subsequent kings and prophets to readily mention, and then all of a sudden there are the strangely more familiar names of a Matthew, a Mark, a Luke, and a John.

All the while it is as if time has no relative placement within these events, thus the popular “campfire story” methodology has merit; these are tales not all too different than the classic myths of the Greeks or any other primal cultures. And if there were no text, there would be a pleasant excuse to fill the spaces between with fuzzy, indiscriminant amounts of time.

However there is a text. And though untaught by even the self-described devout, pious, or otherwise conservative traditions there is a sequence of events (times and spaces) beyond reproof of traditions or other more tedious regulations.

These are not random tales to explain primeval motivations or universal archetypes of good and evil or how people die for a “heaven or hell”; this is even more than the history of how we began and how we shall end, for there is one essential element of the beginning and the ending and all the moments between.

The traditions and religions of all time differ East to West only in the method to obtain what is variously described as nirvana, enlightenment, immortality, or even heaven itself, yet in all these decrees and dogmas there is something we must do, something we must achieve, some act or even narrowed down to our own personal acceptance. Whether we do or do not accept does not change all that was accomplished the moment when it was uttered:
    “It is finished.”

“For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through YHWH saves.” II Timothy 1:9

The Hebrew meaning of Yeshua (Jesus) is YHWH saves. This is who YHWH is, this is what YHWH does. The 33-some years of YHWH saves as one of us occupied no more or less than the 100th Generation since the 3rd chapter of the beginning (Genesis 3). The Death, Resurrection, and Pentecost occurred in the 101st Generation. Fifty generations is 18 from now, the 151st. For the past 22 years we have been the 50th Generation (of 40 years) since the days of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Exactly 2,000 years ago Yeshua was 12 years old.

I very much enjoyed your new essay “The Time of Testing is Here” as certainly being non-exclusive, which seems to be near impossible to do while knowing and representing the way, truth, and life.

Thank you for sharing your insight.

As indicated above, perhaps each of us is being given one last opportunity to attain enlightenment before the curtain comes down and the theater is closed for the season. This may be one way to look at the concept of the “end times.”

I think Daniel sums it up quite succinctly…

“Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.” 12:10

It’s not just about forgiveness as though forgiveness is the be all and end all of God’s work with mankind. God is not finished with any one of us.

and Dr. Cook thank you for another potent essay and an interesting one. You’ve taken me back to a quote I came across some time ago with the last sentence being the most significant and why the last sentence?…

    “After serving as an official representative to the Paris Peace Conference in 1919 during which the terms of settlement for World War 1 were set, Keynes came away shocked at the vengeful and shortsighted nature of the settlement. In his book The Economic Consequences of the Peace, Keynes warned of the dangers that would arise from the fact that “the Treaty includes no provision for the economic rehabilitation of Europe-nothing to make the defeated Central Empires into good neighbors.” He correctly predicted that a combination of starvation and hyperinflation inflicted on Germany would ultimately lead to social upheaval throughout Europe: “Men will not always die quietly…In their distress [they] may overturn the remnants of organization, and submerge civilization itself.” This is precisely what happened to Germany under the burden of paying war reparations and continuing to suffer the effects of its destroyed economy. Although he anticipated the potential for a dictator to emerge from such a desperate situation, Keynes, unlike more recent futurists, made no hard and fast predictions of what would happen, instead questioning, “But who can say… in what direction men will seek at last to escape their misfortunes.” {Sherden pg. 213}

Well because of this from the book of Job…

Beware of turning to evil which you seem to prefer to affliction. Job 36:21

Mankind’s entire history in but 12 words!!!!!

and imagine this what the elites could not accomplish at Versailles they will try and do by way of legislating morality by way of the implantable chip. Unbelievable!!! Imagine what Christ could not do by way of the cross Mr. Money will try and do through control of our bread and conscience. WOW!!! Remember well the words of Marshall McLuhan…

“The extensions of man’s consciousness induced by the electric media could conceivably usher in the millennium, but it also holds the potential for realizing the Anti-Christ –Yeats’ rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouching toward Bethlehem to be born.”

  33. Store up but remember safety is in the Lord for when the time comes you will not want to be in the shoes of the mourners!!!
    Ecclesiates 12:5!!!!!!!

and by the way another take on time of testing runs something like this…

“Delight yourself in the Lord and in His Laws” Psa. 37:4 the scriptures teach and why people don’t is something that God always looks to get to the bottom of!!!

Right! Certainly from the Masters perspetive the question always runs why do people want to lie, steal, commit adulery, kill, etc. etc. Why? Why do they want to break the Ten Commandsments? Why? Is it any wonder then that we find written…

    “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” {Jeremiah 17:10}

An interesting and none too important example of which by the way can be found in the teachings surrounding Gog and Magog which contrary to what many have been told is not Russia and Germany. That is total and complete utter nonsense and we can know this to be true because well Satan has to be released from his prison and this after the one thousand year reign of Christ on this planet. Thats not for well over one thousand years from our perspective.
    “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In number they are like the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city He loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” {Rev. 20: 7-10}
    Get it!
Moreover it has got nothing whatsoever to do with Israel. Nothing!!! Rather its all simply a test. You see for a people who will have lived under the rulership of Christ who will literally be residing in that city when all of this comes down to succomb to the temptation of Satan to take a spoil
{Ezekiel 38:10-12} will be too much for the Almighty and He will strike this gog and magog making an example of them forever. You see these people will know who God is because the blindness that now exists will not exist during these one thousand years! So again the question becomes why do people want to rebel against God? Why? and the answer? To pleasure themsleves with all kinds of evil desires. A veritable sodom and gommarah attitude which ultimately is what we are now seeing happening worldwide. A truly frightening mess no? For gog and magog then the salvation and forgiveness that exists now will be unavaiable to them for their eyes will be open to the truth. What they will end up doing then is an act of total and complete rebellion and that in God’s eyes is reason for utter judgment upon them. It’s as simple as that and so again it’s got nothing to do with Israel whatsoever past, present or future-NOTHING!

    Peace and salvation

    Jerry

PS. I must say Dr. Cook for someone whose expertise lies in other areas of academia your understanding of biblical theology is astonsihing. Perhaps even an embarrassment too many in the pulpit. 34. To Jerry above,

Your ideas of the 1000 year reign of Christ is in Chapter 20 of the Apocalypse. I believe that the 20th Chapter is a synopsis of the rest of the Apocalypse. I believe that the 1000 years has already passed. I have read on another site that Gog and Magog is a reference to the Turkish Mongol Khazarians that became the modern day Jews. After the destruction of the Khazarian empire by the Russians several hundred years ago, the Khazarian Jews spread throughout Europe. They are working diligently to destroy Christianity. The fire that rains down upon them is what I believe to be the Battle of Armagedon-or the Battle of the Hill of Robbers. Armagedon is described in the Douay Rheims Catholic bible in the footnotes as the “Hill of Robbers” and not the plain of Megido. This is a farce perpetrated by the Jews themselves and has given them untold support by the different Christian sects. These Christian sects believe that it will be the destruction of Israel and the ushering in of the Messianic Kingdon. Have I got news for them. The destruction of the land known as Israel will not be the destruction of the Jews or their Protocals for their planned control of planet Earth. The Battle of Armagedon is nothing less than the monetary war going on in the financial centers of the world. The Jews think that they are going to win. But like the Bible says God has sent a financial fire down to destroy them.

  35. The key Donna I believe lies in the verse about Satan being bound in the bottomless pit. When that occurs Satan’s power to decieve and blind the human race comes to a virtual end. All eyes will therefore be automatically open to the truth of the gospel so sin- willful sin- will all but come to an end. Now have we seen this over the last 1000 years? From what I understand of history the last 1000 years has seen more war and bloodshed than the previous 9000 combined.
As for the Battle of Armageddon the scriptures give us another clue as to what that is all about in chapters 9:14 & 16:12 the first of which is the river Euphrates being dried up for the coming of a 200 hundred million man army and from what direction? The EAST and not from the North as taught by the the gog and magog crowd and what nations do we find are from the EAST? One comes too mind especially at least for me anyway China and given the description in Rev. 9:17 it certainly sounds like them. Certainly the colors fit their wardrobes and don’t they have the lions mask {year of the dragon and so forth} for their festivals. More poignantly and significantly though would surely have to be the number of this army. 200 million!!!! I think only one nation can muster an army as large as this. So if this isn’t something to think about.

    Cheers

    Jerry

PS. By the way a question I have to pose concerning Edgar Cayce and his seeing New York under water I would just like to ask Dr. Cook if the description in Rev. 18 isn’t that of New York? Just read it with that in mind paying particular attention to verse 7 about sitting as a queen and verse 17 about every sea captain? Babylon is apparantly a port city and one which glories in her trades for every precious fruit of the earth.

Hmmm and where is the Federal Reserve located?

Comment by Jerry on May 27, 2010
  36. Jerry,

Satan is bound for 1000 years but that doesn’t mean that his power is destroyed completely, it merely means that it is deminished. Something like Al Capone being put in prison for tax evasion. You are correct about the River Euphrates in Chapter 9 verse 14. But could this not be referring to the Japanese of WWII? In fact, verse 12 says, “One woe is past, and behold there come yet two woes moer hereafter.” The first woe could have been WWI, the second woe could have been WWII. In fact, I believe that Chapter 14 verses 14 though 20 is another description of WWI and WWII. I am Catholic and Our Lady of Fatima was very concerned about WWII when she said that the war at that time was going to end but if her requests were not heeded another greater war would break out in the Reign of Pius the XI or XII. I don’t remember which the prophecy said. In fact, Chapter 9 verse 20 says that, “And the rest of the men, who were not slain by these plagues, did not do penance from the works of their hands, that they should not adore devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood, which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:” This appears to me to say that man worships material goods and wealth and these things can neither hear nor speak, see nor walk. In other words they are things and do not have life in them. With notes like this scripture about men worshipping idols of gold and silver, I firmly believe that the medium of exchange is Babylon. Richard Cooke is aware of the imbalance between what the populations of the world make in salary and what they are required to pay for the finished products and services. I have in my mind a world without any medium of exchange. Where one segment of workers-say the wheat farmers trade their wheat with the rest of society for what the rest of society produces and distributes. Therefore, everyone has to do their fair share of the labor in the economy to receive their fair share out of it. And if everyone is working regardless of how much time they are working, their labor is worth whatever the whole of society can produce and distribute.

It will be a time of unparralled peace and prosperity for the entire human race. Satan will therefore have no power whatsoever during this time!!! Rev. 20:4
The River Euphrates can’t be the Japanese {WW1 or WW2 or any other war} because it is an actual river that is dried up in preparation for a 200 hundred million man army! Which results in the fianl battle of Armageddon!!! More signifciantly though it results in the return of Christ to Jerusalem. Rev. 16:12 and 15 respectively.

A lot of this article you mentioned above comes from the mouth of Lyndon LaRouche. However, you are correct in your statement that these people who do these things are the physical or spiritual descendent of those who rejected God by rejecting Jesus Christ. I personally believe that the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD was done at the instigation of these same people who have always been in charge of empires-the Jews. I believe that at one time, these people were under another name. They just wormed their way into the Israeli religion a long long time ago for the very purposes that you see them executing what they are doing now. This time tgough, they will lose. How, I do not know. But I know.

A lot of what is going on today comes from the teachings of the “Abrahamic”, monotheistic religions which have removed us from the land and from the wisdom of our ancestors. We have become rootless slaves to the international banker scam, believing in things that remove us from the primal sources of wisdom, nature and the spirit world.

Challenger Disaster

In January 1986 Cook became the first NASA official to testify publicly on the space agency's prior knowledge of flaws in the solid rocket booster O-ring joints that destroyed Challenger and took the lives of its seven astronauts. He told his story in the book Challenger Revealed, published in 2007. Publisher's Weekly wrote of the book: "Easily the most informative and important book on the disaster."

The Cook Plan

What I am calling the 'Cook Plan' is to pay each resident of the U.S. a dividend, by means of vouchers for the necessities of life, in the amount of $1,000 per month per capita starting immediately as our fair share of the resources of the earth and the productivity of the modern industrial economy. The money would then be deposited in a new network of community savings banks to capitalize lending for consumers, small businesses, and family farming.
