<description>Yes, occasionally progressive reformers get too caught up either in the seriousness of their efforts or mistakenly throw the gold out with the dross. Even when the day dawns that we have true monetary reform and so, economic democracy and very likely a much better environment for spiritual development....we&#039;ll still need to do the personal inner work that makes and keeps us as human as we CAN be. To wit a little poetry:

Care.
Care for brown waifs,
Livin&#039; in the desert wastes,
And for homeless occupants of cardboard boxes
Set on iron heating grates,
Care for dwindling African cats
In their covert lairs,
And for the air and the sky
That all of us share,
Care for Purple Mountain Peaks,
And, for the land fill that leaks,
Care for homeless dogs, on death&#039;s door
Found around a 7-11 store,
Care for the living souls
In bodies black as coal,
For mother and child
And mare and foal,
Care for latch key kids,
And miners minin&#039;
&#039;Neath Ole Blue Ridge
Care so that faith, hope and love will exist,
Care for all of these
And what follows will be true,
Care most of all,
Because it blesses you.
